What i found:

PeopleSoft Version: PS 8.8,
PeopleTools : 8.44

For Training & eDevelopment module in HCM/HRMS package, i could find total 6(six) Approval Rule sets relevant to the Training And eDevelopment/Enterprise Learning Self-Service.

They are namely

HR_TRAIN_ENROLL
HR_TRAIN_ENROLL_MGR
HR_TRAIN_REQ_MGR
HR_TRAIN_REQ_MGR_DB_UPDT
HR_TRAIN_REQ_MGR_NO_APPR
SS_TRAINING_CI_ADMIN

I have done all Workflows Settings and Configurations along with Direct Reports setup which takes Part Posn by Supervisor-ID as employee's Manager.

I want Approval Process (Approval Process=Y) and no DB Update (DB Update=N) for both Transactions:
Training Enrollment and Training Enrollment By Manager

Agreed that Self-Service Training Management
1. Enable employees and faculty to review training opportunities and request training enrollment.
2. Enable managers to approve training requests and review the status of training enrollment approval.

What my problem is:

When i change the Approvers(Route to Role) in the Rule Step definition of HR_TRAIN_REQ_MGR Approval Rule Set it is getting reflected in both Employee Self-Service and Manager Self-Service. But what i feel is only ONE approval rule set here should not be linked to both ESS and MSS flows.

And if i change either HR_TRAIN_ENROLL or HR_TRAIN_ENROLL_MGR, the system doesn't acknowledge it all.

The Transaction_Names are as
HR_TRAIN_ENROLL and HR_TRAIN_ENROLL_MGR, so they should be linked someway to the same name Approval Rule Sets(i.e. HR_TRAIN_ENROLL and HR_TRAIN_ENROLL_MGR)

I WANT a APPROVAL PROCESS like:
----

When Employee Submits a Training Request using ESS
Employee --> Manager --> Training Admin

and

When Manager Submits a Training Request using MSS
Manager --> Training Admin

But what i am getting is

Employee --> Manager --> Training Admin

and

Manager --> Manager --> Training Admin


which its taking from HR_TRAIN_REQ_MGR having steps
as 1A-MANAGER and 2A-TRAINING ADMINISTRATOR


Please Help :eek: .. Its real urgent
